Insects are our hidden neighbors. They are the largest major group of animals and are found in all major habitats except the oceans. By some estimates there are more kinds of insects than all other land animals combined. When you are out in nature, they are the type of animal that you are most likely to encounter. They come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes and have a wide range of interesting habits. We will learn how to find these creatures, how to identify them, and details of their weird and wonderful lives. Photographs and live images are magnified on a screen for easy group viewing. Program is available with live local demos May through September. Some exotic insects will be available year-round for participants to meet and enjoy.
